Princess Cruises launched a 60-day cruise from Los Angeles to Shanghai and return which includes visits to 22 destinations. The voyage onboard Coral Princess will start on September 18, 2018 and is the first time that Princess is operating a direct trip from LA to Shanghai and return.
The cruise line is also offering a couple of shorter segments of the cruise as standalone sailings.
The first leg of the cruise on the 1,970-passenger Coral Princess starts from LA and visits 11 ports in 28 days. It includes a 4-day trip through Alaska prior to crossing the International Date Line to a variety of destinations in North Asia before sailing to Shanghai. Returning from Shanghai to LA on October 18, Coral Princess will call at 10 ports in Hawaii, North and Southeast Asia on a 32-day voyage before ending her trip in Los Angeles.
In addition to the inaugural Shanghai-LA voyage, Princess Cruises launched other maiden cruises from Asia in 2018. In March, Sapphire Princess sailed the maiden Singapore-Southampton cruise after the dry dock in Singapore. The 29-day Epic Adventure cruise on Golden Princess from Singapore to Alaska that started on April 15 was also a first for Princess.
