The next new ship of Princess Cruises will spend her first winter in the Caribbean.
The 143,700 GT Sky Princess will operate 7-night voyages to the region from Fort Lauderdale FL starting December 2019. The itineraries come after previously announced sailings in the Mediterranean starting October 2019.
The cruise line also revealed that Sky Princess would feature cabins able to accommodate up to 5 people, which is a first for Princess.
To be called Sky Suites, these rooms will be the biggest accommodations onboard Sky Princess and feature 270-degree views from top of the ship. They will also boast the largest balconies in the fleet and come with special amenities.
Still under construction in Italy, Sky Princess will start passenger operations on October 20, 2019 with a 7-night Mediterranean cruise from Piraeus to Barcelona. The trip will be followed by 3 more 7-night itineraries in the Mediterranean between Barcelona and Civitavecchia.
The newly announced Caribbean voyages kick off with a 3-day roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale FL departing on December 4, 2019. The ship then sails on alternating 7-day Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises round-trip from Fort Lauderdale from December 7, 2019 through April 4, 2020.
