Tauck announced details of its “Arctic Allure: Spitsbergen and the Midnight Sun” 2019 itinerary aboard Le Boreal, and plans to host BBC Earth filmmakers on select expeditionary voyages.
The new 10-day trip explores Spitsbergen Island, the largest in Svalbard archipelago. Tauck will offer one departure of “Arctic Allure” journey in 2019 (beginning June 24), and the itinerary begins with a pre-cruise hotel stay in Oslo.
The next morning, Tauck passengers board a charter flight to the biggest settlement on Spitsbergen, Longyearbyen. There, travelers will board Ponant's superyacht Le Boreal and embark on a 7-day cruise exploration of Spitsbergen. The itinerary is highly flexible, based on weather and sea conditions and the location of wildlife.
Included in the price (from US$10,990 per person plus international airfare) are the overnights in Oslo, roundtrip flights to Longyearbyen and the 7-day cruise aboard Le Boreal. Also included are all shore excursions, gratuities, unlimited onboard spirits, beer, house wine, meals, port charges, taxes and luggage handling.
