The Association of Mediterranean Cruise Ports, MedCruise, and CLIA Europe (Cruise Lines International Association, Europe), have signed a new partnership deal in Brussels, June 21.
The organisations will both work together in order to promote cruise business in the Black Sea, Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean, Red Sea, North Africa, near Atlantic. Via the newly signed Memorandum of Understanding, the bodies will coordinate to present unified position supporting sustainable cruise growth before EU (European Union) organisations, local authorities, national governments and other stakeholders.
Under the deal, CLIA Europe and MedCruise will share statistics, reports and studies of common interest on trends in shipbuilding and new technologies; create new studies related to cruise industry; collaborate with professional development.
Joint committee comprised of members of the two organisations will be soon formed. The agreement signed at the heart of the EU symbolised the importance of the partnership deal.
