The first ferry link between mainland Portugal and Madeira in 6 years set off on Monday, July 2, from Funchal, en-route to Algarve.
The ferry is due to arrive into the Algarve city of Portimao at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, before departing a couple of hours later the same day for the return leg of the trip. These journeys will take place weekly, until late September.
