A 69-year-old cruise passenger of a Holland America Line cruise ship was lost overboard at Glacier Bay National Park in Alaska.
The park announced in a brief news release Saturday night it had suspended search for the man. The passenger was reported missing from ms Westerdam on Friday, July 13, at 3:50 p.m. after he did not appear for medical appointment onboard.
The Park Service was notified at 7:30 Friday evening after the ship-wide search confirmed the passenger was absent. Searches were conducted from both Park Service boats and the air, supported by the USCG (U.S. Coast Guard).
The release didn't say where along the 65-mile Glacier Bay the passenger was reported missing.
