A BC Ferries ship bound for Vancouver BC returned to dock Tuesday morning, July 24, after a cruise passenger took a fall.
Deborah Marshall, executive director of public affairs at the company said that Spirit of British Columbia ferry had returned to Swartz Bay shortly after departing because an elderly woman had fallen.
Marshall added the delay had been unfortunate, but that most people understood when there was medical emergency that crews obviously needed to take action.
The vessel set sail again at 9:50 a.m. and was 50 minutes behind schedule.
