Royal Caribbean issued a new update to passengers who are concerned about the status of San Juan in the aftermath of damage caused by 2017 hurricane season.
The company reported that "tremendous progress" had been made with recovery efforts across the Puerto Rico island, and that rebuilding tourism confidence was top priority.
Puerto Rico Tourism Company continues the collaboration with government agencies in order to make strides toward full recovery. Communities, local organizations and hotels have focused efforts on the restoration of tourist areas to ensure travelers receive great vacation experience. Most of the hotels are now fully operational.
Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU) serves domestic and international flights. Other airports in surrounding regions are functioning, as well. Main transportation companies and taxi drivers are available, providing ongoing services.
San Juan Harbor is open and resumed all homeporting operations.
