Saga Cruises' ship Saga Pearl II crashed into 4 yachts in Dartmouth Harbour while being piloted by the harbourmaster on Wednesday, August 29.
Happily the leisure boats suffered just 'superficial damage' in this morning's accident, according to Dart Habour Authority.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing yacht owners "running from their vessels in pyjamas" as the cruise ship edged towards the smaller vessels.
Dart Harbour Authority is currently tracking down the boats' owners and will investigate the accident.
Saga Pearl II is currently sailing on her final season hosting voyages for Saga in Western Europe (England, Spain and France).
A spokesperson for Saga said that during the manoeuvre Saga Pearl II had come into contact with "4 small leisure craft causing superficial damage" and added that nobody had been hurt in the accident and the harbour office were making every effort to contact the owners of the yachts involved.
Damage to the yachts would be thoroughly assessed and any damage caused by Saga Pearl 2 would be rectified.
