Celebrity Cruises announced it will launch a new online trade portal in October, representing company’s largest ever investment for agent resource.
Celebrity Central goes live on October 4, with 6 sections covering line’s news, marketing and sales tools, and learning and training resources, all in one place. Agents will be provided with a personalised login for the new portal, representing a 6-figure investment from Celebrity Cruises.
It brings together resources from AirWaves, Cruising Power, and line’s sales and marketing toolkit, such as Celebrity Rewards and Celebrity Cruises Digital Library. It also features a new e-learning resource named Celebrity Passport, replacing Cruising for Excellence, that sees agents being offered new “bite-sized” modules to earn stamps for each of the sections they complete.
The company said it was targeting a total of 5,000 agent sign-ups during the first six months of the portal. Celebrity Central will have a search bar with tags for popular search terms and trending topics.
The sales team of Celebrity will visit agents to spread the word about the portal as well as the Festival of Edge campaign, offering 200 top-selling agents the opportunity to sail onboard upcoming Celebrity Edge in May 2019.
