American Song Begins Inaugural Cruise

Port NOLA New Orleans makes cruise history today, October 6, after the first contemporary riverboat in the United States, American Song, sails her inaugural cruise on the Mississippi River.

American Song is the flagship in American Cruise Lines/ACL's new series of contemporary riverboats. Featuring an exclusive capacity of only 184 passengers, American Song boasts modern design and contemporary styling.

The vessel will sail a full schedule of 8-day Lower Mississippi River itineraries throughout the remainder of the year before repositioning out west to Columbia & Snake Rivers 2019.

Sistership American Harmony, the 2nd modern riverboat in the series, takes over on the Mississippi River in 2019 joining two ACL paddlewheelers - America and Queen of the Mississippi.
