The popular Cross Bay Ferry service (Tampa to St Petersburg) will soon be back to Tampa Bay. Starting November 1, travelers can take a ferry out of downtown Tampa to downtown St Petersburg.
This season, the cruiseferry will feature a new schedule, along with later evening runs and lower prices: US$8 for adults, US$3 for kids ages 5-18, and discounts for college students, active/retired military and seniors.
In St Petersburg, the ferry will dock close to Vinoy, within walking distance of the Museum of Fine Arts, Straub Park and the restaurants and shops along Beach Drive. In port Tampa, the ferry boat will dock adjacent to Florida Aquarium, steps away from Tampa Bay History Center, Tampa Riverwalk, Sparkman Wharf and Amalie Arena.
The Cross-Bay Ferry is due to run Tuesday through Sunday, with late-evening runs so passengers can enjoy both cities. It will have 6 months of scheduled service until April 2019.
