New images show what the landmark new Cruise Liner Terminal in Liverpool could look like.
The city council intends to build the new complex in Mersey at Princes Jetty so the port city can welcome larger ships. It will allow more cruises to start and end in Liverpool, giving another boost to tourism industry.
The council released detailed images and a new video of what the building would look like, complete with shimmering zinc skin.
The development is expected to see the existing derelict jetty demolished and then replaced by new terminal on a jetty in Mersey. A 200-bed hotel would also be erected alongside.
The video shows the 2-storey terminal would be on 2 floors, with a baggage hall on the ground floor and a cafe, passenger lounge and check in facilities on the first.
The new cruise terminal would enable ships of up to 3,600 passengers to call in Liverpool.
The project has been backed by GBP 20 million from Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.
