A Royal Caribbean cruise passenger has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly tried to throw his partner overboard from Radiance of the Seas.
The 46-year-old man from Queensland was arrested when the vessel docked in Hobart on Thursday, October 18.
Police said the accident had happened at 3:30 am on Thursday while Radiance had been en route to Tasmania, sailing on a 5-day cruise round-trip from Sydney.
They had been called to the cruise ship at 8:30 a.m. when it docked.
Police described it as a family violence accident.
The passenger is due to appear in Hobart Magistrates Court later today.
