Dream Cruises welcomed its 1 millionth passenger with an official celebration at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Cruise Terminal upon disembarkation from World Dream on Friday, October 19.
Ms Mimi Lo, who is a Hong Kong resident, was welcomed at the cruise terminal via a ceremony attended by President of Dream Cruises Mr Thatcher Brown, Managing Director of Worldwide Cruise Terminals Jeff Bent, Capt. Robert Bodin of World Dream, Genting Cruise Lines Senior Vice President, Head of Marketing & Communications Ms Christine Li, and Hotel Director of World Dream Ms Ann Zhang.
Ms Lo embarked on a World Dream cruise last Sunday, October 14, for a 6-day trip to Naha and Miyakojima (Okinawa, Japan) with 3 generations of her family. Onboard, Ms Lo and her family received special gifts, of which signed prints by artist Jacky Tsai, who created the distinctive hull art of the ship, a private tour of the navigation bridge, champagne and exclusive photo shoot.
Making her debut November 2017, World Dream represented a huge milestone in Hong Kong’s rise as a cruise hub as the first mega-ship to be christened in the port city and, along with her sister ship, Genting Dream, previously, the largest cruise ship to call the city her year-round home.
