American Song arrived in Memphis TN on October 12 after a week-long inaugural cruise up Mississippi River from New Orleans, visiting Oak Alley Plantation, Baton Rouge, St Francisville, Natchez, Vicksburg.

Guests came ashore at Beale Street Landing, having enjoyed great time along USA’s most historic river and aboard the first modern riverboat in the USA.

American Song’s inaugural passengers were treated to complimentary cocktails and all-inclusive fine dining. The journey was highlighted with expert lectures and onboard entertainment, as well as guided shore trips at every port.

American Song is the 2nd new ship completed and delivered to ACL by Chesapeake Shipbuilding in 2018. American Harmony, which is the 2nd modern riverboat in the series, is due to be completed and delivered during the first quarter of 2019.

American Song will sail a full schedule of 7-night Lower Mississippi River itineraries throughout the remainder of this year and will then reposition to the West Coast next year, for American Cruise Line’s Columbia and Snake Rivers voyages beginning in March.
