Cruisers looking to explore the natural wonders of Alaska in 2019 now have a total of 133 voyages and 15 Land+Sea Journeys to select from aboard Holland America’s mid-sized ships, that are the best size for Alaskan ports and glacier viewing.
The premium cruise line introduced new “We Are Alaska” branding in order to emphasize its leadership in Alaska for more than 7 decades.
Next year, Holland America will offer a robust season of voyages on 8 ships with more calls at Glacier Bay than any other cruise line, an introduction of soft-adventure EXC In-Depth Alaska cruising as well as the continuation of the only options combining overland travel to Yukon’s hidden gems.
Between May and September, cruisers can choose from 7-, 14- or 21-day itineraries aboard Amsterdam, Eurodam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Maasdam, Oosterdam, Westerdam and Volendam. New for 2019 season, ms Oosterdam takes over Sunday roundtrip Seattle itineraries, adding more balcony staterooms to the route. Also new are a trio of 21-day Ultimate Alaska and Pacific Northwest Adventurer EXC In-Depth Voyages sailing round-trip from San Francisco aboard ms Maasdam.
The ships using Vancouver as gateway: ms Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Volendam and Westerdam, offer Holland America’s signature Alaska Land+Sea Journeys combining a HAL cruise with a Denali National Park stay or journey to Denali and Yukon. With 6 different Yukon+Denali itineraries and 9 Denali options, departures offer a choice to sail first or enjoy a land segment first.
Passengers on line's Alaska cruises will enjoy BBC Earth’s multimedia performance “Alaska in Concert” on the Main Stage. It combines live music set against a backdrop of footage from BBC Earth TV series “Wild Alaska,” and audiences experience the cycle of 4 seasons.
Cruise fares for Holland America's Alaska cruises start at US$899; Land+Sea Journey prices start at US$1,099; and line's 21-day EXC In-Depth Voyages - at US$3,399 (per person, double occupancy).
