Carnival Cruise Line raised the price of its internet plan by 60% that features access to the most popular social media apps.
The cruise line offers 3 different internet packages on their ships: social media package, value WiFi plan, and premium WiFi plan. While the latter 2 WiFi packages stay the same price, Carnival's social media package will cost passengers a bit more money.
The new price for Carnival's social media package is already US$8.00 per day, or US$6.80 per day if pre-purchased prior the voyage. Passengers cannot buy day passes for the package, they must buy a cruise-long pass.
This change in pricing went into effect November 2, 2018. The old price for line's social media package was US$5.00 per day, or US$4.00 per day if pre-purchased.
The value WiFi package continues to cost US$12.00 per day, or US$10.25 if pre-purchased. The premium WiFi package is US$17.70 per day, or US$14.88 if pre-purchased. 24h rates are available for the 2 plans and are priced slightly higher than cruise-long package rates.
