Two crew members on an NCL luxury ship off Crystal Coast have been burned on Monday, November 28, in an accident.
The U.S. Coast Guard said they had medevaced the 2 crew members off Norwegian Escape.
The ship was about 24 miles southeast of Atlantic Beach when the USCG received the call at around 3:50 p.m.
According to the Coast Guard, the Filipino crewmen, aged 25 and 26 years old, suffered 2nd-degree burns in an engine room accident.
The two men, along with a doctor, were hoisted by Jayhawk MH-60 helicopter from Elizabeth City. They were taken to Rocky Mount-Wilson Regional Airport and met EMS crews.
