The Coast Guard has medevaced a 71-year-old woman from a Carnival cruise ship around 58 miles off the coast of Galveston to University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston Sunday morning, December 2.
According to the Coast Guard, the Carnival Valor cruise ship had contacted them, saying that a cruise passenger onboard needed medical assistance. A helicopter crew and a nurse travelled to the cruise vessel and hoisted the woman, authorities revealed.
The passenger was taken to University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. No information on her condition has been revealed.
