As part of the year-long celebrations for Carnival Panorama that is due to debut on the west coast, Carnival announced that line's AirShip is returning with a month-long voyage across California. The blimp launches on December 31, in conjunction with the first-ever Rose Parade float of Carnival Cruise Line on New Year’s Day.
The 120ft Carnival AirShip is expected to journey throughout LA, Orange County, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Riverside counties, then on to northern California. It is due to fly over major locations and events in the state, of which The Rose Parade, Sky Zone trampoline park locations, travel agent viewing parties, schools, sporting events, and Carnival’s homeports in San Diego and Long Beach. The blimp will be incorporated into the design of company’s float in the Rose Parade.
Along with the unique aerial tour, customers will have an opportunity to win Carnival prizes, such as a journey for two when they enter sweepstakes that begins December 31. Details will be announced later in December.
