MSC Poesia was caught in rough weather while sailing off Uruguay's coast last week.
The ship was close to Punta Del Este when a severe storm hit. Due to rough seas with high winds, the cruise liner rocked violently side-to-side causing damages to furniture and equipment as it rolled. Due to the adverse weather conditions, the vessel was forced to cancel a couple of ports of call.
Passengers sailing on the December 2-9 voyage round-trip from Santos, Sao Paulo, Brazil said they would never forget the experience. After the storm, the crew of the ship managed to clean up the mess and restore operations back to normal.
