MV Nautica docked at 6:00 a.m. carrying 400 crew members and 648 passengers.
It is the third time the vessel is docking at the cruise port in a span of 3 years and her next expected arrival is on February 3, 2019 during her return trip.
A group of 170 travelers did site visits at the city of Mombasa, 85 were scheduled to visit Amboseli National Park, and another group of around 120 visited historical sites like Fort Jesus and other ancient buildings at Old Town.
The come back of cruise tourism in Mombasa has prompted the port management to construct a modern international cruise ship terminal, due for completion in August 2019.
The new port facility features CCTV cameras, along with duty free shops and other facilities specially designed to receive international visitors.
Other ships expected in early 2019 include Seabourn Sojourn (Feb 4), Silver Whisper (Apr 3) and Albatros (Nov 3).
