It has been a busy holiday season for Port Castries, St Lucia Island.
The harbour has seen as much as 5 cruise ships in port a day since the middle of December 2018. That included the first visit by Ponant’s newbuild Explorers-class superyacht, the 184-passenger Le Champlain, which departed her home port in Martinique with visits across the Eastern Caribbean.
The visit of Le Champlain included a Rodney Bay berth and is part of what is due to be a “bustling” season in 2019. It could mean an increase over what was a record cruise season in 2017-2018.
