A 73-year-old woman with a dislocated shoulder was rescued from a Fred Olsen cruise ship in the Solent. Bembridge RNLI Lifeboat was called to MV Balmoral shortly after 5:30 pm Saturday evening, January 5.
According to a UK Coastguard spokesperson, the Isle of Wight crew had helped the elderly passenger into the lifeboat and immediately took her ashore at Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth, where they were met by an ambulance.
MV Balmoral had just left from Southampton UK, heading to Lisbon Portugal.
