The tourism industry in Exmouth Australia is currently at a crisis point, with 3 of the past 5 cruise ships due to disembark travellers in town having canceled the port calls due to poor weather.
This is the reason why Shire of Exmouth is now calling on Western Australia's Government to offer a solution that allows cruisers to disembark regardless of weather conditions.
Cameron Woods, Shire of Exmouth's CEO, said the port town wanted to welcome cruisers to Exmouth and show them all that the World Heritage-listed Ningaloo Coast had to offer.
He added the Shire was working with the State and Federal agencies including Department of Transport & Tourism Western Australia to find out a short-term solution allowing cruise passengers to disembark in the port of Exmouth regardless of the weather conditions.
