A cruise passenger was treated by a medical team on a Carnival Cruise Line's ship off the Coffs Coast (NSW Australia).
Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter reportedly winched the medical team on Carnival Spirit around 40 nautical miles east of Coffs Harbour (between Brisbane and Sydney), Wednesday morning, January 16.
Crews were treating the 70-year-old man onboard for a medical condition.
The helicopter returned and landed at Coffs Harbour until it received confirmation to return and winch the patient and medical team from Carnival Spirit.
At the time of the accident, the ship was on a 10-day, round-trip Pacific Islands cruise from Sydney. It is scheduled to sail back to the port of Sydney on Thursday, January 17.
