Port Canaveral officials gathered on Tuesday, January 22, to discuss a new line of Disney cruise vessels docking in Central Florida.
Port Canaveral's Cruise Terminal 8 is getting an upgrade in order to accommodate 3 new ships of Disney.
Coming in 2021 (Wish), 2022 (TBN) and 2023 (TBN), they will hold at least 1,250 cabins each. The newbuilds will be isterships/same-sized with LOA length 1119 ft (341 m), making the Triton-Class fleet's longest - only by 4 ft.
The name "Disney Triton" was on the agenda of the Port Commission meeting, meaning that it could be the name of a new vessel or even a new class.
Triton, a son of Poseidon, is a demigod of the sea. A lower part of his body is like that of a fish.
