MSC Cruises publicly demonstrated its new digital personal cruise assistant and promised that training travel agents on the unique technology was at the top of their agenda.
The voice-activated beacon, popular as Zoe and developed via the partnership with Harman and Samsung Electronics, was created to provide "personalized service" to passengers in their cabins and trained to answer over 800 questions.
It will soon launch on MSC Bellissima.
As part of Zoe’s technology, that is powered by artificial intelligence, this system is able to add to its own information database and answer questions that were previously unanswerable.
More than thirty different international accents were analyzed during Zoe's development along with 3,000 tests as part of the "proof of concept phase".
MSC Cruises will next look to feature Zoe on its website and on smartphones.
