Seven Seas Splendor was launched on Saturday, February 9, at Ancona shipyard.
She is the 2nd super luxury newbuild that Fincantieri is currently constructing for RSSC-Regent Seven Seas Cruises - a subsidiary and brand owned by Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd (NCLH). Ship's delivery is scheduled for 2020.
Just like sister ship Seven Seas Explorer (2016), Splendor will be 55,000GT with accommodation for a total of 750 passengers. Last January the shipbuilder received an order from Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings for a 3rd unit of the series, to be delivered in 2023.
The building process will implement the newest environmental-friendly technologies, while the ship's interiors will be extremely sophisticated, with attention paid to guest comfort.
