P&O Cruises newbuild Iona will sail from Southampton UK to mainland Spain, Portugal, the Canaries and cities in northern Europe during her first winter season.
Overnight stays along with late departures have been scheduled for the largest vessel of the line as part of itineraries released for the period between October 2020-March 2021.
A series of ‘day into night’ calls will enable guests to take in nightlife owing to late departures from destinations like Barcelona, Valencia, Fuerteventura, Tenerife.
Overnight stays are planned for Lisbon, Barcelona, Rotterdam, and Cadiz as part of the range of 7 and 14-night voyages.
The ship makes her debut next summer on Norwegian fjords itineraries.
Pre-registration for Iona's winter cruises opens on March 18.
Shore adventures range from river rafting in Vigo and waterfall canyoning in Madeira to star-gazing from Mount Teide, the highest peak in Spain, in Tenerife, and tuk tuk tours (eco-friendly motorcycles) of Lisbon.
Cruising canals in Amsterdam on a vintage boat and traditional shrimp fishing by horseback in Bruges are among other new shore experiences.
Ports of call in Portugal, Spain, and the Canary Islands include Cadiz, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Lisbon, Madeira, Tenerife, Alicante, Barcelona, Gibraltar, Malaga, Valencia, Vigo.
Rotterdam (Amsterdam), Zeebrugge (Bruges), and Hamburg are among the cities featured in northern Europe.
