With less than a week until MSC Cruises’ newest addition MSC Bellissima launches in Southampton UK, there has been a new member added to the official naming ceremony.
World-popular tenor Andrea Bocelli will perform alongside his son Matteo Bocelli their best-selling duet ‘Fall on Me’ from Andrea’s new album Sì.
Andrea will also sing during the traditional ‘Officers’ Parade’ which is an emotional moment paying homage to the crew and recognizes their service.
Other performances during the event will come from 3-time Grammy Award-winner Nile Rodgers and his band Chic, Cirque du Soleil at Sea, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.
Hosting the proceedings as the ‘Master of Ceremonies’ is expected to be the English TV presenter Holly Willoughby.
MSC Cruises’ godmother, Academy Award-winning actress Sophia Loren, is due to perform the traditional ribbon-cutting and officially christen the newbuild, MSC Bellissima.
