A Norwegian Cruise Line ship was stranded off the city of New York after strong winds prevented docking Monday night, February 25.
Norwegian Gem had to be floating for hours with an unknown number of cruise passengers, a representative for the line revealed.
Meanwhile, vacationers scheduled for the upcoming ten-day Caribbean voyage were left waiting for the vessel’s arrival.
A spokesman for Norwegian said that due to strong gale-force winds on Hudson River, the scheduled arrival of Norwegian Gem into New York City had been delayed until Tuesday morning, February 26.
