High-speed onboard Wi-Fi is expanded on more than 50% of Princess Cruises’ ships by the end of 2019.
MedallionNet is due to be available on 10 liners, up from 4 currently including Caribbean Princess, Royal Princess, Ruby Princess, and Regal Princess.
UK-based Crown Princess will receive the fast Wi-Fi on June 30 during her summer of departures out of Southampton UK. This will be followed by Emerald Princess on August 3 as she sails in the Mediterranean with departures from Athens, Barcelona, and Rome.
Coral Princess will be upgraded by April 5 while Island Princess on May 15 during ships' Alaska seasons.
Improved Wi-Fi is to be added to Golden Princess on December 20 as she departs on cruises in the South Pacific, Australia, and New Zealand.
The newest Princess Cruises addition, Sky Princess, enters service in October 2019, fully Medallion-activated.
According to Princess, dates for MedallionNet to be available on the remaining 7 ships in the fleet will be confirmed in due course.
The cruise line also dates when 3 more of its vessels will be fully Ocean Medallion-activated this year. They include Royal Princess (April 13), Crown Princess (July 24), and Sky Princess when she launches in the Mediterranean (October 20).
