Stena Edda cruiseferry, that is due to be used to increase capacity on Liverpool-Belfast route, was floated out from drydock at Avic Weihai Shipyard in China.
The new ferry (scheduled to enter service in Spring 2020) will feature freight capacity of 3100 lanemeters along with space for 1000 passengers and 120 cars - almost 20% more capacity than now.
The vessel is one of Stena Line’s new E-Flexer Class vessels providing drive-through decks for easier loading/unloading. The E-Flexers are more fuel efficient than the existing ferries.
