Coral Expeditions launched its 4th and biggest expedition cruise ship, Coral Adventurer.
The official christening ceremony of Coral Adventurer was held in Singapore on Wednesday, April 24, with key stakeholders, Coral Expeditions’ senior management, and global media guests in attendance to see the naming of the newest addition to the Australian fleet of expedition vessels.
Quek Peck Lim served as the godmother of the new ship and blessed the launch.
Coral Adventurer is currently sailing on her sold-out, 18-day maiden cruise, “In the Trail of Tasman”, through the Indonesian Archipelago. The voyage retraces the historic adventures of Dutch explorer Abel Tasman, the first to map the coastlines of Northern Australia, New Zealand, and New Guinea during the 17th century.
After her inaugural voyage, Coral Adventurer is due to arrive in Australian waters for the first time via a ceremonial welcome in Darwin on May 12. The ship will that evening start a 10-night cruise through West Papua on her 2nd itinerary, “Wildlife and Warriors”, prior to returning to Darwin to resume Kimberley season.
