Asia’s largest cruise liner, Spectrum of the Seas, is currently on the Singapore leg of her maiden voyage.
Spectrum of the Seas started her Singapore homeporting season this month and has 3 cruises lasting between 3-9 nights to destinations including Saigon, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Penang. The vessel will arrive at her homeport Shanghai in June.
Royal Caribbean said the 3 Singapore cruises were sold out.
Liner's maiden call was celebrated on Tuesday, May 21, via an exchange of plaques between Capt Charles Teige, Singapore Tourism Board chairman Chaly Mah and Lionel Wong, Sats-Creuers Cruise Services chief executive.
Royal Caribbean announced a new 7-month homeporting season in Singapore for its Quantum of the Seas, due to popular demand.
Between October 2020-April 2021, a total of 40 cruises will be offered, making the deployment the longest by a Quantum-class liner in South-east Asia.
This is expected to add around 180,000 passengers to the cruise scene of Singapore.
