The Carnival Corporation-owned subsidiary Cunard Line announced a millinery masterpiece designed via partnership with the popular milliner (women's hats designer and producer) Stephen Jones OBE on RMS Queen Mary 2.
Jones, who has designed for royalties like Princess Diana, Princess Eugenie, Duchess of Sussex, has drawn inspiration for the hat from Cunard’s rich heritage and the experience one gets while sailing across the Atlantic Ocean on the luxury liner.
Jones has incorporated various materials into the headpiece, mirroring the preoccupation of the milliner with creating designs which appeal to fashionable women, confident in their choices. His clients include members of London society as well as some of the most legendary fashion houses like Dior.
Jones will headline the cruise line’s annual Transatlantic Fashion Week that departs from New York on July 28 and arrives in Southampton UK 7 days later on August 4.
The hat will be part of the dazzling runway shows onboard. In addition, Jones will offer insight on his distinguished career through a series of talks and Q&As. He'll be joined during the fashion week by celebrated names in the industry such as Stuart Weitzman, Lindy Woodhead, Hilary Alexander OBE.
