Completing its inaugural season, AmaWaterways celebrated the debut of company's newest riverboat - AmaMora - on Rhine River on June 3.
Embarking on her maiden cruise from Amsterdam to Basel, the 156-passenger boat is the 3rd of a trio of newbuilds introduced by AmaWaterways in 2019 - a record-breaking achievement since company's inception in 2002. AmaWaterways fleet now numbers 23 vessels - following the launch of AmaDouro (on Douro River Portugal) and AmaMagna (on Danube River).
Like her sisterships AmaKristina and AmaLea, AmaMora has 78 staterooms, almost all of which boast the line's signature twin balconies. Designed to meet the needs of discerning passengers, AmaMora features a wide range of amenities such as connecting staterooms, Wellness Program, complimentary bicycles, organizes guided hiking and biking tours. There is plenty of room to lounge by the Sun Deck pool, which has a swim-up bar, enjoy massage and hairdresser services. The ship also provides complimentary in-room Entertainment-On-Demand and high-speed Wi-Fi.
There is also an extensive line-up of up to twenty complimentary tours to choose from during a 7-night cruise. Highlights include the Rhine Gorge lined with 40 castle ruins as well as special interest tours like the Lahneck Castle visit by candlelight.
AmaWaterways' AmaMora will be blessed by her Co-President of Ensemble Travel Group Libbie Rice, alongside the line's executive team and local dignitaries during an official christening ceremony in Lahnstein Germany the week of July 15, 2019.
Sailing between Basel and Amsterdam, AmaMora will offer the 7-night Enchanting Rhine and Captivating Rhine journeys, as well as the festive Christmas Markets on the Rhine sailinges between November 25-December 23. Returning guests will be recognized with a Christmas Markets on the Rhine itinerary departing November 24 as part of the first-ever Loyalty Appreciation Month of the line.
