A 5-year-old girl has been medevaced from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship sailing in the Gastineau Channel outside of Juneau, Alaska Sunday afternoon, June 16, after she reported abdominal pain.
A 45-foot-long CG (Coast Guard) response boat met the 1,138-foot Ovation of the Seas and transported the little passenger to the South Douglass boat ramp in Juneau. The girl was passed on to local emergency medical services.
The request for help was first made at 2:09 p.m. on Sunday.
There is no information about the current condition of the patient.
