On December 4, 2021, Poseidon Expeditions' cruise passengers will be able to experience a total solar eclipse.

The polar cruise company is offering a 23-day voyage that coincides with the total solar eclipse that will take place in Antarctica. On November 20, 2021, the 114-passenger mv Sea Spirit will depart the southernmost city in the world, Ushuaia, and return there following a visit to South Georgia, the Falkland Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. On day 14, the captain will navigate the ship to the small path of totality that will be experiencing the total solar eclipse.

The memorable itinerary will focus on the complexities of the oceans as the ship is due to move south through the Drake Passage and cross the Antarctic Convergence, a biological ring around the continent where warmer sub-Antarctic waters meet the colder waters flowing north.

The cruise costs US$16,556 per person for triple occupancy and US$21,866 for double occupancy.
