The US Coast Guard medevaced a passenger experiencing symptoms of kidney failure onboard an NCL ship in Glacier Bay on Thursday, July 4.
According to the USCG, the 69-year-old man had been hoisted off Norwegian Bliss in Johns Hopkins Inlet at around 10:45 a.m. He was taken to Juneau, Alaska and placed in the care of CCFR (Capital City Fire/Rescue) crew.
At the time of the accident, the ship was on a 7-day, round-trip Awe of Alaska: Inside Passage & Glacier Bay cruise which departed from Seattle on June 30.
