A little girl has died after falling from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship docked in Puerto Rico.
On Sunday, July 7, Freedom of the Seas was docked when the one-and-a-half-year-old slipped from her grandfather's arms and plunged eleven floors onto the concrete on the Pan American dock II in San Juan.
The family of 8, from Indiana US, were holidaying on the ship when the tragedy occurred.
Later on Sunday afternoon, the captain offered his condolences to the families and announced that the departure of the vessel would be delayed.
Police are interviewing cruise passengers and relatives who witnessed the fall on Sunday. According to local police, the accident was "very sad and tragic". The vessel is currently sailing on a 7-day, round-trip Southern Caribbean cruise from San Juan.
