A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter crew has hoisted a 7-year-old girl and her parent from Celebrity Summit on Monday, July 8, after the vessel departed from NYC-New Jersey.
Celebrity Summit was 200 miles off the Virginia coast and heading to Bermuda when the Coast Guard pulled the little passenger, who was experiencing abdominal pain, from the ship's deck. A nurse from the Celebrity Cruises' ship also accompanied the child and her parent to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk VA.
The Summit left Cape Liberty port in Bayonne on Sunday, July 7, for the 7-day round trip to Bermuda.
