More river cruise ships could visit La Crosse (Wisconsin USA) as city's board of public works approved a study to look into the possibility to add docking space to Riverside Park. Levee system changes have been considered by the port city for years. The proposed changes come as La Crosse is seeing increased interest from river companies to visit La Crosse.
La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat said that was part of the study they would be looking at options for how to make sure that "everybody, every boat company that wants to come and make a visit and a stop at La Crosse has the space to do that."
Depending on which of the plans is chosen, the price would reach millions of USD. However, some cruise companies said they were willing to pay for some additions.
