Passengers boarding on Port Aransas TX ferry were immediately evacuated on Monday, August 11, as an oncoming large vessel sounded its danger horn. According to Rickey Dailey, with the Texas Department of Transportation, at approx 9:00 am, an inbound LNG carrier sounded its danger signal. Ferry's Captain and crew had to evacuate people on foot.
The tanker ship was navigating through Port Aransas jetties when it experienced difficulty making a complete turn, causing it to get close to the ferry landing on Port Aransas side.
