P&O Cruises' Oceana ship will sail a total of 14 voyages to 5 regions during her new winter 2019-2020 programme, visiting Spain, Portugal, Montego Bay, Antigua, and various capitals in Central Europe.
The cruise line took the decision earlier in August to cancel Oceana’s planned voyages to Dubai and the Arabian Gulf because of the political tensions in Strait of Hormuz.
P&O Cruises said that it was acting on the advice of “external authorities”, adding passenger and crew safety was paramount.
The new winter programme of Oceana will run from October 10 to April 9, book-ended by repositioning voyages to and from Valletta Malta including visits to Barcelona and Civitavecchia-Rome.
These include:
- A 35-night Caribbean no-fly cruise departing from Southampton UK on November 17, visiting the Azores, Antigua, Saint Maarten, Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Roatan, Puerto Limon, Aruba, Martinique, Barbados.
- A 14-night Christmas & New Year voyage departing from Southampton UK on December 22, visiting Lanzarote, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Madeira, Lisbon, La Coruna.
- A 7-night Northern Europe city escape trip departing from Southampton UK on February 16, 2020 featuring visits to Hamburg, Ijmuiden (Amsterdam), Zeebrugge (Bruges).
