Australia’s summer cruise season officially began following the return of international mega liner Majestic Princess to Sydney.
The largest and newest ship in the fleet of Princess Cruises, Majestic Princess’ return to the port also marks the beginning of the line's biggest ever Australian season that is set to inject upwards of US$70 million into the economy of New South Wales.
According to Princess Cruises Senior Vice President Asia Pacific, Stuart Allison, the return of Majestic Princess to Sydney and the impending arrival of Ruby Princess meant that the company will have two of its four newest cruise ships sailing in the region.
During her 2nd season return, Majestic Princess is due to sail on itineraries around Australia & New Zealand, with maiden calls to Airlie Beach (Sept 21), Yorkeys Knob (Sept 22) and Port Douglas (Sept 23) as well as Adelaide (Feb 18, 2020), Busselton (Feb 21, 2020) and Fremantle (Feb 22, 2020).
Majestic Princess will sail back to Australian shores again in late 2020.
