Royal Caribbean's liner Oasis of the Seas arrived last week in Navantia Shipyard (Cadiz Spain) to begin a USD165 million Royal Amplified drydock refurbishment.
To the Oasis ITS will be added new amenities and venues, including The Perfect Storm (three waterslides), Ultimate Abyss (the largest waterslide at sea), new kids and teens spaces. Following the 63-day drydock, the cruise ship (one world's top 5 largest passenger liners) starts cruising on November 24 with 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from PortMiami's new Cruise Terminal A.
In May 2020, Oasis OTS repositions to homeport (NYC (Cape Liberty, Bayonne NJ)) for 7-night roundtrip voyages to Bahamas with calls at RCCL's private island CocoCay.
