The number of cruise ship passengers visiting Port Busan (Korea) has significantly increased during 2019-H1. The city government announced on Thursday that the number of cruise ship tourists had risen 30,5% (to 93,919) in the period January-June - up from 71,980 during 2018-H1.
Including crew, the total visitor numbers stood at 135,906, which is up 30.3%. Some 32,046 cruise passengers were from Japan, followed by the United States with 13,948, Taiwan - 10,033 and Australia - 8,663.
Taiwanese passengers have increased by 212%, while Australians - 75%, Americans - 40.1% and Japanese - 19.2%.
